
Kirk Austensen, RP is a holistic psychotherapist who has had a successful private practice for over twenty-five years. He counsels individuals, couples and families as well as facilitating a variety of therapy groups including specific healing groups for men and couples. He sees clients at his midtown Toronto office Monday-Friday.
Kirk has taken great joy teaching his Spirit Within Workshop--an 11 week course in creativity, spirituality and personal growth, to participants from all walks of life.
He has developed and facilitated full-day healing workshops for both men and women addressing issues of anger, fear, shame and sexuality.
As a guest therapist Kirk has made appearances on Citytv’s CityLine, Global News, CTV News, StarTV, CIUT Radio and Gail Vaz-Oxslade's Money Moron. He was also a guest faculty member for Toronto’s Moksha Yoga Teacher Training Program.
Kirk also served as co-director of Toronto’s Shift Gallery for three years and was co-director of the creative and healing arts space the industREALarts room.
Kirk is a graduate of the Gestalt Institute of Toronto. Prior to this he majored in theatre at the DePaul/Goodman School of Drama in Chicago and enjoyed a fifteen-year career as a professional actor in both Chicago and Toronto.
Kirk currently resides in Toronto and maintains his practice in Bracebridge and Toronto, Ontario.
